Thank you for tuning in to our two-a-day newsfeed. I'm feeling excited to share several updates on the chapter's performance thus far, and events so far.
WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, Here is our current chapter standing:
Our point lead has increased since the last score update! Congratulations to all of you so far for your victories thus far. e-Week is not over yet, but I am proud of all of you. If you would like to see the tallying for any event in particular, or keep tabs on how we or another club is performing, click here.
And now, onto our e-forecast for the next two days. After this GIF to keep y'all entertained!
Pancake Breakfast: I hope you're looking forward to these free pancakes as much as I am. The pancakes will be served at the AME courtyard from 9am-11am. This is IMPECCABLE timing before Probability, so I hope to see many of my classmates from Dr. Haldar's class to PROBABLY (WINK WINK) be there!
Familia Feud: Join our ASCE family team as we compete with other club families at OLD ENGINEERING 214 from 1-2pm. We have slots available Jenga Tournament: Several of our Timber Towers members will be competing in the Jenga Tournament from 4-5pm at OLD ENGINEERING 210 from 4-5pm.
Popsicle Bridge Contest: We will be hosting our Bridge Competition in the Civil Engineering Courtyard from 6:30-8:30pm. Helpers, please come around 5:30 to help set up. I appreciate your assistance!
Engineer a Masterpiece: AT THETA TAU HOUSE FROM 1-2pm. In this contest, students compete to recreate well-known paintings using arts and crafts items. I currently have nobody signed up for this event so far, so if you want to sign up for the event and are free, please click here. Not many of us (including me) are free at that time due to class conflicts, so if you are available I beseech you to PLEASE help us out! We cannot afford to miss a single contest! Please email me if you can make it!
Water Balloon War: Ahhh yes. Just like when we were children. Except with a competitive edge! UPDATE: it will be 4-6 at the UA MALL!
Engineers Got Talent: ASCE will be hosting at Saguaro Hall 202 from 6:30-8:30pm. Come watch some of the many talents within our engineering field! (Note: ASCE members may participate, but will not be permitted to win since we are hosts)
Time to wrap this up. Awwww. :( Long email everybody, I know, but thank you for reading. I PROMISE our last 2-day update will be MUCH shorter!
Please note, I have now placed the money and can donation receptacles in the lounge. Some of you have already begun demonstrating your generosity. Thank you all, and remember that this is not only a contest, but a way for us to impact our community who may not have the blessings and resources we have readily available in abundance.
Also, if you are donating blood, please OFFICIALLY SIGN UP ON THE REDCROSS WEBSITE IN THE LINK HERE, and ENTER SPONSOR CODE: UABioEng. Thank you for your generous giving, and hydrate/eat/sleep well beforehand! We have four people signed up, and one more can get us our max participation points for this! If you are that one extra person, please email me!
Have a good Wednesday and Thursday!
